"Self-hating Jew"

"The trouble with you, Blumert, is that you’re a self-hating Jew," a neocon once shouted at me. And that was before the hysteria of this latest war on Lebanon, with the neocons hating and smearing anyone who doesn’t conform.

Dislike the war on Iraq, the war on Afghanistan, the war on Lebanon, or the planned wars on Syria and Iran? Oppose our accompanying police-warfare-welfare-propaganda state? Why, you must be a bigot.

It promotes spying, torture, and gulags. It glorifies boobish politicians. It boosts socialism and belligerent nationalism. It suppresses free enterprise. It erodes private life and private loyalties. It excuses aggression. It promotes the draft, which is military slavery. It kills our young men and women. It’s a total disaster.
